How we rank the results

This page explains which offers you find on stay.roraima.io, in what order we show them and why. The order is the same for everyone: two people who run the same search see the same results in the same order.

What you find in the results

Roraima offers are published by owners registered with Roraima: accommodation by the night; experiences, spaces and services in time slots. Every registered owner appears with all their active offers.

You book and pay on the owner's website, which the "Book with the owner" button takes you to, with the dates and number of guests already filled in. The contract is concluded between you and the owner. Roraima does not collect the payment for the booking and does not charge commissions on bookings.

The order of Roraima offers

Roraima offers appear first, ranked by these criteria, in order of importance:

1. Distance from the place you searched for, from nearest to farthest. It is the most important criterion because the place is the first thing you ask for in your search. Distance is measured in a straight line between the approximate position of the property (see "Where properties are shown") and the center of the place you searched for, or the point you chose on the map, and is shown in whole kilometers.
2. Price, from lowest to highest, among offers at the same distance. If you entered dates, the total price for those dates and those guests counts. Without dates, the starting price stated in the offer counts: per night for accommodation, per time slot for experiences, spaces and services. It comes after distance because it helps you compare offers that match your search equally well.
3. How long the offer has been published, where distance and price are the same: the offer published for the longest time comes first. It only serves to keep the order stable.

If you search without entering a place, offers are ranked by price and then by how long they have been published.

Where properties are shown

The portal never shows the exact position of a property. On the map, each property appears within an area of about one kilometer, marked as an approximate position, and the distance in the listings is calculated from that position. You receive the address only after booking.

Filters

Filters (price, type of accommodation, category) remove from the list the offers that do not match your choice. They do not change the order of the remaining ones.

What does not change the order

• No owner pays to appear higher. The owner's subscription plan, the credits they use on the platform and any other financial relationship with Roraima have no effect on the order.
• The order does not depend on who you are, on the searches you made before or on the pages you visited: we do not use a profile of you.
• There are no reviews or ratings, so they play no part in the order.

When there are not enough Roraima offers

If there are no Roraima offers, or only a few, for the place and dates you entered, the page suggests other options, always kept separate from Roraima offers and labeled as such:

1. Roraima offers nearby or with other dates, with the distance or the available dates shown next to them. They follow the same order described above.
2. Properties in the area not listed on Roraima, in the section "Other places to stay in the area, not listed on Roraima", ranked by distance. They come from public lists of accommodation establishments, cited on the page of each property. They have no price and cannot be booked: with "Ask about availability" you can send a question to the property, which replies to you directly.
3. Search links for Booking.com, Expedia, Vrbo and Airbnb, always at the bottom of the page, with the place, dates and guests already filled in.

Links to other websites

The search links to Booking.com, Expedia, Vrbo and Airbnb are ordinary links and are never mixed with Roraima offers.

Next to a Roraima offer, the words "Also on Booking.com: see the offer" may appear, if the owner has entered their property on that website.

The "Featured" position

Today no offer is featured. If in the future owners are able to pay to feature an offer, those offers will carry the label "Featured", will be shown in a separate space above the results, and this page will first explain how it works.

Updates

If we change the way we rank the results, we update this page before the change takes effect and state here the date of the last update.
